Designed by the world-renowned engineers at Cosella Dorken, DELTA®-VENT SA is the industry's premium self-adhesive, water-resistive and air barrier adhesive house wrap. It is highly vapor permeable, water-tight, and aggressively self-adhering. It's the only self-adhering WRB and air barrier that gives you the security of a self-adhesive edge lap. This versatile self-adhesive house wrap can be attached to a myriad of materials, including concrete, masonry, OSB, plywood and exterior-grade drywall.

DELTA®-VENT SA eliminates leaks at fasteners and helps improve the performance of the building enclosure with increased air-tightness.

DELTA®-VENT SA not only passes, but also dramatically exceeds the most stringent requirements of the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) and of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC 2010) based on the results of ASTM E2357 - 11 Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage of Air Barrier Assemblies.

DELTA®-VENT SA has a three-ply membrane. It has a printed top layer of spun-bonded polypropylene, with the center as a vapor-permeable water-tight polymeric sheet. Finally, adhesive is applied to the bottom layer of spun bonded polypropylene. This provides DELTA®-VENT SA with high tensile strength and reliable long-term adhesion, so you never have to worry if your DELTA ®-VENT SA will hold up for longer than your drywall. It will. Properties:

DELTA®-VENT SA is a vapor permeable WRB, allowing moisture within the building enclosure to escape through the membrane via diffusion. Its permeability and air-tightness make it an ideal air and water-resistive barrier membrane for energy-efficient construction. Full adhesion maximizes air tightness and minimizes fastener penetrations. The product is watertight and protects the building enclosure from wind-driven rain or snow. DELTA®-VENT SA is very light-weight and tear-resistant. Its membrane will withstand the rigors of jobsites, as well as the toughest wind and weather.

DELTA®-VENT SA not only passes, but also dramatically exceeds the most stringent requirements of the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) and of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC 2010) based on the results of ASTM E2357 - 11 Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage of Air Barrier Assemblies.

DELTA®-VENT SA also exceeds the requirements of a 60 minute Grade D building paper.

DELTA®-VENT SA is a three ply membrane. It has a printed top layer of spun-bonded polypropylene. The center is a vapor-permeable water-tight polymeric sheet. The adhesive is applied to the bottom layer of spun bonded polypropylene. This provides DELTA®-VENT SA with high tensile strength and reliable long-term adhesion.

DELTA®-VENT SA has a glue strip with a release liner on the front side of the top edge. This makes a locked tight glue-to-glue sealed lap, eliminating the possibility of peeling at material laps.

DELTA®-VENT SA is Class A fire-rated. Its vapor permeable, air barrier, self-adhesive, and watertight qualities are unaffected by surfactants.

Because DELTA®-VENT SA is fully adhered to the substrate, no fasteners are required and lateral movement of air and water is eliminated.

Material: DELTA®-VENT SA is a 3-layer self-adhered water-resistive barrier (WRB) and air barrier. Its two outer layers are made of a high strength spun-bonded polypropylene (PP) fabric. They are thermally bonded to a highly vapor permeable, watertight polymeric middle layer. DELTA®-VENT SA maintains high vapor permeability and has a full surface coating of a high tack adhesive applied to the lower layer of spun-bonded polypropylene for sticking to common substrates. It has a split release liner for ease of application.

DELTA®-VENT SA has a glue strip along the front side of the long edge, covered with a siliconized release liner. Once the release liner is removed, a secure glue-to-glue bond is formed for water and airtight laps.

DELTA®-VENT SA passes ASTM D 1970 Nail Sealability test for sealing around fasteners.

The matte gray color of DELTA®-VENT SA prevents blinding glare during installation.

Application:

DELTA®-VENT SA is installed outboard of the sheathing prior to the application of the final cladding system. DELTA® Accessories complement the WRB / Air Barrier installation. It may be adhered to concrete, masonry, OSB, plywood or exterior-grade drywall. Where required, DELTA® Primer LVC is available.
